The
Des Moines Register reports that protestors with hard hats and shovels showed up today at a Biden rally in Council Bluffs, IA. The protesters appeared to be responding to Biden's remarks reported
here on Tuesday when he said:
"This is deadly earnest, man. This is deadly earnest," Biden said. "How they can justify--how they can justify--raising taxes when the middle class has been buried the last four years... How in Lord's name..."

The shovels were not the only visual aid used by the protesters. The Register also reports:
A man dressed in a pink rabbit costume who declined to share his name said he’s the “Deficit Bunny” because “the deficit just keeps growing and growing and growing.”
I particularly like "who declined to share his name." Anti-Biden protesters aren't afraid to look silly for a good cause, but they're not stupid.
